Give Peace a Chance (SOLD)
60 inches x 40 inches
This quilt was created for “Hippie Connections”, a Connections Fibre Artists show at Gallery Lambton in Sarnia in 2007. 1969 saw the largest anti-Vietnam war rally in U.S. history (500,000 plus), the premiere of the counter-culture movie Easy Rider, the first serious wall graffiti, and the premiere performance in Toronto of the song that became the peace anthem of a generation, John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance.”
On show at Guelph Museum, June 15 to October 13, 2013, with Connections Fibre Artists’ show “Higher Ground”.
